Attendance of Postal Members at the monthly meetings

The committee has looked at the regular attendance of members at the Thursday meetings over the last year in order to make an informed decision regarding the number of meetings Postal Members can attend. We can no longer open all meetings to Postal Members but we have increased the number from two to six per year.

Membership Renewals

  • Membership renewals are due by the 14th March ’24. The cost of both full and postal membership remains at £21. Renewal forms are available at the monthly meetings and can be sent by email if you request this. Payments can be made by cheque, BACS or by using the card reader at the meetings.
  • We ask that if you are a tax payer please tick the Gift Aid box on the form.
  • We are introducing a new electronic system of keeping records which incurs an annual charge per member. We are not passing this on this year but we have to have an up to date list by the end of March. All payments must be paid by the 14th March to allow time to process payments.
  • Any member who has not renewed in time for this will have their name removed from the list and will then need to reapply as a postal member if they wish to remain with Sherwood u3a.

Welcome to Sherwood U3A, Mansfield Woodhouse

We are an organisation formed by local people whose aim is to work together to enjoy a variety of learning opportunities and social activities.

Our Members are retired or semi retired and generally over 50 (though there are no age constraints). Their objective is to share fun, friendship and informal learning in a vibrant, varied and enjoyable way.

This website is to provide potential members with some idea about what we offer, but more importantly the site is here to provide existing members with up-to-date information on what is available, what is happening in the future and what people have been doing at recent events.
